I don’t go to the movies very often, but this time I ended up seeing the same movie three times in total. It was *Project Hail Mary*. The first two times were at a nearby theater, and I made a special trip to see the IMAX version with Japanese subtitles this morning.
The IMAX version is only showing until April 9, so today is my last chance.

The actress playing Eva Stratt looked familiar to me, and then I realized she had also appeared in *Zone of Interest*, which I saw in theaters about two years ago.

I watched the movie after finishing the book.
My initial impression was that it felt like quite a bit had been cut from the original story. However, after looking through the movie program, I realized that the author had been deeply involved in the production, which helped me understand the differences between the book and the movie, as well as their respective roles.
The characters in the book and the movie are quite different. In the book, Rockey is polite and tends to act more like a mother figure to Ryland Grace, whereas in the movie, Rockey is like a spider-like puppy and is very innocent. I absolutely love the movie version of Rockey.
Rocky's feeling rested. Now it's time for Ryan to catch some Z's 😴 #ProjectHailMary pic.twitter.com/KKM8n2hzdr
