United Airlines Guam Marathon postponed to September

I got an email from Guam Marathon Japan office that the marathon has been postponed while I was working.

The United Guam Marathon Secretariat has been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its impact on Guam and international runners.

After careful discussions with relevant organizations, both public and private, United Airlines Guam Marathon on April 5, 2020 has been postponed.

The new date will be Sunday, September 13, 2020.

We will continue to work closely with United Airlines, the Guam Tourism Board, and other relevant organizations, including the Government of Guam, to ensure the success of the event.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

After the email, the temp agency emailed me that I got the permission to have the vacation.

I did inform the temp agancy that the marathon has been postponed to September, although I just got a permission for the vacation for about a week.

I know no cancellation for the hotel, but it won't hurt to give it a go and asking about any waiver options.

I booked for the hotel via booking.com, already non-refundable. But I requested to waive fees

United Airlines announced that:

But, I've already booked the flight last October, so I asked United Airlines on Twitter via DM.

We hear you. At this time, we haven't received an update about any refund or rebooking options for flights booked for Guam Marathon event. Feel free to check the travel waiver updates here: fly.united.com/TRhXqv

So I can wait for an update?

Twitter is very useful. They are always friendly. They called me "wanichan" 💗 I am very happy. Thank you United!

Although the Japan office website is updated that postponent, but not updated yet at the original one like this.
